Two evaluation boards are available to allow customers to verify system performance before making a commitment. The transmit board uses the 14 bit, TI DAC907, clocking up to 160 MHz to produce high fidelity digital transmit waveforms. The receive board utilizes the 12 bit Analog Devices AD9233, which clocks up to 120 MHz. The receive board can be in conjunction with a noise generator and a bit error rate tester allow a in conjunction with a noise generator and a bit error rate tester allow a customer to characterize system performance.customer to characterize system performance.
Both boards employ the Altera, Cyclone 3 EP3C25E144C7, which is a mid range FPGA with extensive capability. These boards are not intended to demonstrate 100% capability, but are configured on a case-by-case basis to showcase specific capabilities.
